Jam 2016
Eco Event at Jam 2016 at Oval Space, London
Eco Event cardboard furniture at Jam 2016 at Oval Space, London. Jam brought together 12 amazing speakers from the likes of The Guardian, Facebook and Deliveroo to share the raw honest stories behind the products they know and love. JAM is about learning in a friendly, intimate environment where everyone can get to know each other and go back to the office feeling energised and inspired.
Beyond the talks Jam was about learning in a friendly intimate environment with 400 like-minded people to share ideas and have a good time with. Being a product driven event it offered a great platform to showcase our eco-friendly furniture and eco GIF booth. The furniture fitted effortlessly into its urban surroundings at Oval Space, a vibrant arts and event space in the heart of Bethnal Green, East London. We provided Jam with their own personalised cardboard sign made with each letter made from 6 layers of cardboard.

Talks included ‘Behind the roadmap’ by Antoine Sakho at Busuu, ‘Keeping your personas alive’ with Anna Miedzianowska at Ocado, designing the Monzo app with Huge Corneho. The standout talks came from Andrea Jezovit and Monoca Viggars at The Guardian, their presentation taught us how their team learned to stop worrying and love discovery. Kat Tran Phuc and Andrea Coens at Facebook confessed on what it means to fail convincingly and Simon Rohrbach gave insight into redesigning Deliveroo.
The concept of JAM originally came from the two founders from working at Adbrain and building complex products. Today they run monthly Show and Tell events and an annual conference to learn from the people behind the the products they know and love. For more information on JAM events visit their website here.
Sponsors for the event included Twillo, Crate Beer, Wizeline, Founders Factory and Deliveroo.
