Trees for Cities at Nozstock Festival
Trees for Cites Eco-Friendly Cardboard Photo Booth and Suggestion Trees at Nozstock Festival 2016
Eco Event collaborated with charity partner Trees for Cities at this year’s Nozstock Festival in Herefordshire. The Trees for Cities team were on hand to raise awareness of the importance of planting trees in urban areas to improve the lives of city dwellers and inspire children to grow and eat good food. As well as planting tress and making willow wands the Trees for Cities area included a personalised eco-friendly cardboard photo booth and two cardboard trees covered with messages of tree admiration from the festival revellers. The Trees for Cities team also helped the hilarious German comic Henning Wehn to plant an apple tree on the festival’s celebritree avenue.
Nozstock Festival The Hidden Valley is a blissful family festival that caters to all ages with activities that little ones can enjoy as well as entertainment for teens, students, party starters, seasoned festivalites and even grandparents. The line up this year included legendary hip hop group Jurassic 5, Irish singer songwriter Imelda May, Jaguar Skills, Goldie and many more. The festival work hard with their other charity sponsors including The Music Pool. Legs4Africa, FRANK Water and The Gambian Maternity Foundation.
Nozstock Festival was the first time we’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with Trees for Cities and we hope it will be the first of many planting events our cardboard furniture and eco-friendly photo booth will be part of.
Eco Event has done more good work this year with Greenpeace, Oxfam and WaterAid at Glastonbury Festival and more recently with Kew Gardens Grow Wild UK initiative at Latitude Festival.
